Product Information Specifications for Fox C Bassoon Bocals C-2 Below:
Manufacturer: Hodge Products, Inc.
Hodge Silk Swabs are premium swabs made from 100% silk for removing moisture from woodwind instruments after each use. Hodge uses silk because it is absorbent, lint free and compressible. The swabs are large enough to wick the moisture out of the larger part of the bore, but compressible enough to pull through the neck. They do not leave lint in the keys. They are not stored inside the instrument so the moisture does not remain. Hodge swabs are regularly recommended by repairmen for optimum care of your instrument. The bassoon swab can clean both the boot joint and the wing joint. Only one swab is needed to go through the entire body of the instrument.
For the bassoonist who enjoys the freedom of movement that is given by a harness, the BG Bassoon Harness distributes the instrument's weight evenly through the upper body. This gives the player the advantage of greater stamina. We think this harness is ideal for soloists.
Introduced in 1992, the CVC bocal gives a focused and full tone with excellent stability and control. Being developed specifically for the Fox 601 and 660 bassoons, this bocal works especially well with bassoons using a thick-wall design, but will enhance any bassoon requiring more solid attacks and dynamic control. Made of a nickel-plated nickel silver tube.
The CVX bocal has been a favorite among professional players for many years. The design performs well throughout the entire range of the bassoon and is known for its ease of response especially in the high register. It is made of a silver-plated nickel silver tube..
